NCTC volleyball traveled to Hill College on Saturday, November 1st, earning a conference road win against the lady rebels in a five set thriller. Dropping the 1st set 21-25, the lady lions came back stronger taking set 2 25-20. In set 3, the teams battled point-for-point, with Hill taking the set 27-25, but NCTC answered right back winning set 4 27-25. In an exciting 5th set, the lady lions took control early and came out on top 15-13.

Leading the offense for the lady lions was freshman pin hitter Isabel Gabbert who put up her season best of 10 kills, followed by sophomore outside hitter Emily Metzler with 9 kills. Metzler also added 9 digs and 4 blocks for the match. Sophomore middle blocker Joy-Lece Bateman added 8 kills hitting .429, along with a string of 7 kills each from freshman middle blocker Kynadi Hall, freshman outside hitter Kate Walraven, and sophomore middle blocker Kassidy Paul. Also contributing to the offense included sophomore pin hitter Emarei Brandon with 4 kills, freshman middle blocker Alyxa King-Greenwalt with 2 kills, sophomore rightside Jamey Darwin with 3 kills also hitting .429, and a kill a piece from freshman middle blocker Kyla Williams, freshman outside hitter Denim Crow, and freshman setter Alayna Francis. Hall and Walraven also put up 4 aces each.

On the defensive side, Alison Figueroa added 18 digs, 7 assists, and 4 aces on the match. Freshman setter Alexis de Vries added 41 assists, 11 digs, and an assisted block. On the net, Metzler led the way blocking, followed by Paul with 3 blocks, and 2 blocks from Hall.

In a team effort, the lady lions defeated the lady rebels and finish the season 8-10 in conference play.
