The lady lion volleyball team won their match against Collin College on October 25th at home, and six sophomores were recognized: Marlee Howard, Emily Metzler, Joy-Lece Bateman, Jamey Darwin, Kassidy Paul and Emarei Brandon.

For the three set win over Collin, Metzler and Brandon led offensively with 6 kills a piece, followed by Paul and Darwin with 5 each. Freshman Kynadi Hall added 4 kills, followed by Howard with 3 and freshman Kyla Williams with a perfect 2 for 2. Setter Alexis de Vries also added 3 kills along with 24 assists and 8 digs on the match. Libero Alison Figueroa put up 6 digs, 5 assists, and 2 serving aces as well. On the net, Paul had a strong showing defensively with 4 blocks alongside Darwin who put up 2 blocks.

Final scores for the match were 25-15, 25-23 and 25-12.

Next up for the lady lions is the final week of Conference matchups. The team hosts Ranger College on Wednesday, October 29th for alumni night- all NCTC alumni will receive free admission to the game. On Saturday, November 1st, the team will travel to Hill College for the final conference game of the season.
