Gavin Smith and Jayden Young Competed at the NJCAA National Track & Field Championships in Hobbs, New Mexico on May 14th-16th.

Smith participated in the prelims for two events to represent NCTC track and field. In the 100m, he took 31st overall with a time of 10.61 and in the 200m, Smith finished 21st with a 20.81.

Young competed in the 400m hurdles prelims, an event the lions have shined in throughout this season, finishing 19th overall with a time of 54.68.

Smith and Young's performance at the National Championships concluded another fantastic season for NCTC's Track & Field program.
